What are some great songs for the bride to dance with her father to?

My wedding is May 23 and for now I've settled on "Daddy's Little Girl" but I know there is way more stuff out there. OTHER THAN Butterfly Kisses and Wind Beneath My Wings, what songs can a bride dance with her father to? I am pretty close to my dad but I don't want a song that is too wimpy. Any suggestions? List whatever you know.

‘Dance With My Father” by Luther Vandross. Celine Dion also does a version if you want a female singer. The lyrics do imply that the father has passed away though if you have a live singer you may wish to alter the lyrics for the occasion.

I **** butterfly kisses, too. It makes me want to vomit. I suggest something fun and silly that you can dance to with some gusto- surprise your guests with some coordinated moves. Haha Have fun, and follow up with the slower more traditional daddy’s girl dance.

My dad and I danced to “Forever Young” by Bob Dylan. It’s got beautiful lyrics, but has that classic rock Dylan sound, so it doesn’t sound as weepy as some can. It was perfect for us…maybe it’ll be perfect for you as well!

I just recently got married this past November and my dad requested to dance with me to “I loved her first” - I forget who it’s by but I think it’s a country soung. Ask your dad what song he would like to dance with you to, he might have an idea.

I know quite a few songs because im currently looking for the perfect song for my father/daughter dance. Here are some good ones that i have found. Sorry i don’t remember who sings some of them, but you can always google them.
Butterfly Kisses (personally this is my favorite) Bob Carlisle, Daddy’s Hands Holly Dunn, A father’s love, My father’s eyes Amy Grant, My precious baby, My little girl, Tough Little Boys Gary Allen.

I know you’ve gotten a lot of answers, but I hope you do read over mine too!;)
This song is great b/c your dad will really feel this one, very sweet but now cheesy or lame…
This song is a classic, no one else will have danced to it or seen it done at a wedding and the meaning is NOT cheesy like soooo many of the other “father daughter dance” choices people gush out. What is so great about it is that it’s a song reminiscent of a place and time that means the world to you and is absolutely irreplaceable (I’m sure you feel that way about your dad)…
Just a good, classic but not overdone choice…
Give this one a chance, consider how you and your dad will feel right than- this may be perfect…(and if you don’t care for the duet version, I’m sure you can find a better one)-

If you are concerned about being too serious or gushy, just choose the absolute perfect song for you two (it is your special moment with your dad after all) and as soon as the song is done, have the DJ put on something like “Boogie Shoes” KC and the Sunshine Band and have him request the grandparents and in-laws out to dance floor. Once they are out there, gettin down- you begin pulling other guests out! GREAT way to get everyone dancing and laughing.

I loved her first. I’m not sure who sings it. I think Heartland. But not sure. I love that song. Or stealing cinderella. A friend of mine danced to Isn’t she lovely by Stevie Wonder.
